Objects with sentimental value for your family

Hi kids! Remember that for your project you need to choose a valuable object, describe it and tell the story behind it, by asking your parents or other relatives. You can also make a video while they're describing the object and saying why it is special for them. Interviews are also welcome! Here are some pictures of my most valuable object. My grandfather's notebook. He would be now 88 years old and he used it at school when he was just 12 or 13 years old. It is beautiful !

Do Shoppers go crazy on Black Friday?

Over a decade ago, major US reatailers decided to kick-start the Christmas shopping season with a day of bargains, where prices were often slashed up to 50 or even 80 per cent.



This event is held on the last Friday in November, the day after the Thanksgiving holiday. Why the name? Many US retailers operate at a financial loss or are 'in the red' from January to November. Black Friday marks the point at which they begin to turn a profit or become 'in the black'.
