Video: "Dinner for one"

Every Christmas, Germans and British watch an old British television comedy sketch called Dinner for One. The short sketch is just eleven minutes long, shot in black and white and entirely in English. In the sketch, a dowager and her butlerenjoy a dinner celebration that's anything but routine. Enjoy it, since it is really funny.

-"Same procedure as last year, Miss Sophie? "
-"Same procedure as every year, James".

Hilarious!

Hello students,

Since I know that you're going to be very excited, here are some pictures so you can remember our friends from Liverpool. We had so much fun with them, but next year I expect all of you to take part in the conversations and forget about being ashamed. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF SO YOU CAN IMPROVE!

RAFA NADAL SPEAKING IN ENGLISH

Speaking with a native accent is not so important to communicate in the foreign language. However, it is very important to have a good pronunciation. Here is a video of Rafa Nadal's interview at the Roland Garros tournament. As you can see, Rafa is using a correct English, but with a Spanish accent.

SOME QUOTES TO INSPIRE LEARNERS

Hello! Why don't you think about these interesting proverbs?

"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young." - Henry Ford

" Believe in yourself, be strong, never give up no matter what the circumstances are. You are a champion and will overcome the dreaded obstacles. Champions take failure as a learning opportunity, so take in all you can, and run with it. Be your best and don't ever ever give up." - Brad Gerrard

"Every artist was at first an amateur." - Ralph W. Emerson

"I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. I do, and I understand." - Chinese Proverb

"If you find yourself saying 'But I can't speak English...', try adding the word '...yet' - Jane Revell & Susan Norman

"If what you're doing isn't working, try something else!" - NLP adage

"If you think education is expensive, try ignorance." - Derek Bok

"If you know what you want, you are more likely to get it" - NLP adage

Take a look at these wonderful pictures. I hope you like them! :-)
Dear students,

Good luck with your final exams. Here are some beautiful words that I would like to post today.

Turn your dreams into wishes,
Your wishes into goals,
Your goals into reality,
And your dreams come true.
Luke, D., 16 years old (Australia).

And remember Abraham Lincoln’s words:

If we never try,
We shall never succeed.
